Car sputters and bogs in gear, but not in idle...WtF!!??!! Help please
ok
car is 94 civic ex
i was drivin around today, goin at atbout 5mph i punched it in 1st and it statr sputtering the rpms would just jump up and down...then i kept driving, itd sometimes sputter on light throttle
i reved it up in neutrel and everythins OK
anyone have any idea what could be wrong?

do u have a manual or automatic trans.. and does it bog down at all rpms or just when you are starting?

its a manuyal
it doesnt bog in neutral but in gear
it bogs mostly in 1st gear, at first ONLY WOT, but now it bogs at light throttle

its not really a bog, its more of a stutter and the engine like misses or somethin...itll shake back and forth it acts like if i was steppin on the gas and letting off as fast as i could

Used to have the exact same problem and it was the o2 sensor!
Easiest way to check is to unplug the o2. You may throw a code, but you'll know if thats the problem and it doesn't cost a penny. Make sure you tie the harness away from the hot pipes or you'll be looking for a new harness after it melts :D

It only takes 10 seconds to find out. Jack up, unplug, and tape your harness safely away from the exhaust pipes ...
Even the dealer couldn't figure out why my car was bogging since it wasnt throwing any codes, but it was the o2!
