Default LS hatch died all of a sudden....there is no spark????

My LS hatch died on the side of the road yesterday......the dizzy isnt sparking. We tested the pickup coil and ignitor and they tested good. Then we changed out ignition module and it wont spark......what else could have gone wrong or bad?

Its getting fuel and turns over strong it just wont spark

Any info will be greatly appreciated

Did you check the ECU for a CODE. If you get either a 4 or 9 go buy a new distributor as the parts in the base cannot be replaced. The other thing in the housing to look for is a coating of a reddish dust which means the bearings are gone. Finally, make real sure that the connectors outside are indeed OK. Hope this helps

i screwed up and i exchanged ecu's just out of curiosity before checking for new codes to see if possibly the ecu went bad so when I re-hooked up the original ecu there were no codes flashing.....before like last week I had code the code for the IACV, 14 i think, but thats nothing.

Im probably going to end up buying a new dizzy but if H-T can save me the $300 for a new one it would be awesome.

the housing looked clean, not any reddish dust.
