I agree the cheap aftermarket parts company never spends good for fitment and quality so I would stick with oem and get em dark housed.

Though I agree, he's not asking an opinion on what headlight to get.
Yes, reseal the headlights. If not they will form condensation on the inside and you will eventually begin to see water slushing around in the bottom of the headlight

Yes and be ready for "halo" to quit working. I used mine like 6 times and one went out.
Anyhow I bought some CD6 Headlights and liked the OEM black much better. Not that I am all JDM but I do enjoy the OEM. Especially for Fit and Function. That and they have 1 low beam and 2 high beams per side. Nobody liked to cut me off at night.
Anyhow be prepared to readjust a few times to get them in right and don't put your bumber all the way on until you check them a few times.

I've heard that too, and seen it. I'd recommend against it, but it's your car

i have had them for about a year and all my halos still work, my recomendationis to get just the halo wired to a toogle stich so they are not on all the time. mine dont get water in them either
The light projection does suck when you first put them in as well as the bulbs that they come with. I have some one piece black housing and they look nice but light output could be better. You can however adjust the the beam horizonaly and vertically with the two screws to the right and left of the projector (May take you awhile to get it just right). I would recomend you upgrade the bulbs to something a little birghter aswell (to yellow and dim for my taste).

This is also my opinion, partly the reason I got rid of. I did also have my halo's toggled and rarely used and still went out early. These were not cheap ebay lights either.
Def. get brighter bulbs and be prepared for disappointing night bad weather driving. Although you may like it but I didn't.

Heard of using the clear blind rods (window blinds) but never seen the finished product

Takes lots of practice to get it right, but who care's if it's free, you're staying at your friend's house!

It involves taking a regular hex or octangular shaped clear window blinds rod, heating it up to conform into a circle, then using a dremel you make slight nicks on the front facing side of your "halo" very close together to refract the light. You arrange two LED's, your choice of color, into the ends of the rod, and install in your housing. I'm sure there's a tutorial to be found on the web if there's not one already here on HT.
