uberdata 1.66, 1.7 problems...
can someone please email me uberdata 1.66? i've searched the pgmfi.org forums, and the ud forum. nothing. kasso@nyc.rr.com
btw, i dont want 1.7 because i tried making a basemap with it, imported the bin from off the chip to see whats been written, and opened the file with ud. it said that it had an error opening L1H1_AF.asm file and that it would cause ecu failure. and it cant be the way the chip is burning because i did the same thing with crome and no errors.

you need to save and open all your bin's in the same folder that you have uberdata saved in or you will get that message.
use 1.70 it's the most stable version

Yeah Crome has no problems.
. Anyways I suggest you place the .bin file in the Uberdata folder and continue using the most stable officially released version 1.7 found here:
http://uberdata.pgmfi.org/foru...=2001
If you HAVE to use 1.66, here are some options:

By the way 1.66 and 1.7 .bins are not compatible so if you don't know what version your chip was made in then good luck.

I loved the crome stock P28 map. I think it's better than the one that comes stock in the ECU (TO ME, SIMPLY MY OPINION!
)
You could save the crome P28.bin in the uber file and open that, and then do your basemap from there.

I don't know, I opened the GSR.bin, and then went to Import P28, opened the crome P28.bin and had it opened in both Uber and Crome.
The fuel maps were almost identical, except uber rounded instead of doing the .05 or .005 that was in the crome map.

What do you mean? can't i just completely erase the chip and re-burn it?
btw, the chip isnt installed yet, but it has a crome p30 map on it for ls/vtec.

I went with Crome for the same reason you are having problems. I have not yet had any problems with crome at all since installed and tuned. For some reason I couldnt open any p28 maps or p30 maps on Uber which was my first choice but went Crome and havent had any problems. Yes they both have their problems small bugs, but I just seem to read more problems coming from Uber users then Crome. I do like the free datalog on Uber, to bad I havent been able to use it. If Crome Pro was free with autotune, Im sure that would be the first choice for everyone. Yup and yes they both open the p28 and p30 basemaps. You can also open Uber boost maps with Crome as well.

I think I'm going to re-dl crome and play with that some. I just like the layout of Uber better. The Blue to purple to red is nice. Crome has funky colors IMO.
How does crome work with 310 peak/hold injectors? Uber is being a peta-munching peckerhead.
How much is Crome Pro?

Dont really care to much about the colors of the program but i just know that Crome has wroked for me, while I couldnt even get Uber to open. And I can say that I am a very software oriented person. Im using DSM 450s w/out a problem havent tested 310s before but I figure any injector size will work. Crome Pro is $150.

Sounds to me like the problem with alot of Uberdata users is simply user error. If you want to use Uberdata don't start with some other random map. You gotta make your own and go from there. If you don't want to make your own then stick with Crome. To me Uberdata is simple. Open up StockGSR and import which ever fuel and ignition maps you need which are supplied with Uberdata and then start tweaking. You can't just open up some random .bin file and go from there. As far as 1.66 and 1.7 they use different fuel setups so the fuel maps don't transfer over properly between versions.

Damn you are right. I just tried it and it worked. I have 1.8. I opened up the GSR bin and imported the p28 maps over and created a boost basemap. 1.8 comes with the step retard option. Im going to mess with Uber now and see what I can do with it. going to tune next weekend.
