ive never seen my fans move in my life! help!
i have a 94 integra ls with a jdm front conversion and i bought this car about 6 months ago and ive NEVER seen my fans turn on. I have two fans and i believe one is for AC.. i have AC but it doesnt work and the fan by the bumper never turns on. does anyone know why my fan never moves, also my temperature is always below medium of Hot and Cold, just ive never seen my fan turn on
i go to LA in hot summer days and when i pop open my hood, i can feel the air is very hot coming out of my motor, but the fans still arnt on...
well theres a motor there, so its gonna be hot... go drive your car kinda hard then stop and pop the hood. just wait, they will come on
Jump your fan wires directly to your battery pos and neg. This will tell you if the fans even work. If they don't turn on, then there is your problem...
watch them for like five minutes after running it a while. they pop on and off. mine was the exact same thing. i never saw them on and even on hot drives. but then i decided to watch it and what do you know it comes on then off for like 1 min. it only comes on when water temp is at 220

heh..
Anyhow, the easiest way to make it turn on:
After you drive somewhere, and it's already hot, let it sit and idle. If the fan doesn't turn on, the temp will slowly rise.
You can even do it without driving around. For instance, that's part of the procedure for bleeding the coolant system... let the car idle until the fan kicks on/off twice.

ok my fan doesn;t come on....
it doesn't i kno wbecause when it sits and idles the temp will start going up after a while..when im moving its fine because air is going in there....
i swapped out the ECT switch..i swapped out the ECT sending unit...put the ones from my D on there..because when my d was in the fan worked...
still nothing????
if i run a direct line to the fan from the + on the battery....fan comes on.....
what could it be???
