Default Vehicle Speed Sensor

I own a 1994 Honda Civic EX 2 door Coupe, D16Z6. I need to know where the VSS (vehicle speed sensor) is located, and also where the tach gets it's signal. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The vss is located on the top of the tranny.

Ya its on top of the tranny, look for something eletrical plugged in, I think its held in by 2 10MM's, the tach gets its signal from the vss also I believe.

so, another question, if the speed sensor is reading correctly, then shouldnt the rpm's be correct too.....? if they are in the same sensor, then why are the rpms incorrect when the speed is correct?

I don't have a '94, but I really doubt the tach gets it's signal from the VSS. Think about it... How would the tranny 'know' what rpm you're at??

On my '95 Integra the tach got it's signal from the ignitor (blue wire from distributor).

so, three more questions, what color is the wire leading to the gauge cluster for RPM's in the dash, and also, what wire is used for the computer to read RPM's? blue wire too, right? and one more, what color is the wire leading into the ecu for RPM's?

On my '95 it's like this...

CKP, CYP, & TDC sensors (in distributor) provide their signals TO the ECU.
ECU creates a trigger signal, telling the ignitor when to fire the coil.
Ignitor fires the coil AND produces a tach signal on the blue wire.
Blue wire goes to tachometer, cruise, & diagnostic port. Not back to ECU.
