i know this is a newbish question, but it would make my researching a lot easier if i knew how much horsepower i have to make to run consistent 11's. my plan is to boost a b18c1 eg hatch w/ full interior. it will mostly be a street car, but visit the track every week. i plan on using slicks w/ a traction bar. does anyone currently have this setup? im hoping i wont have to get a sleeved block, just some pistons, rods, blockguard. ill be using a gt series turbo. any help is greatly appreciated. o and if your gonna tell me to search, please dont, because i already am and have been.

mid 200's whp with slicks and a good 60' can get you to the 11's..

248whp, turbo B16 in a EG hatch. Times in sig.

 

I ran 11's with a lsvtec on the bottle. High 200 whp Im sure you don't need a sleeved block a friend went 10.8 at 134 with a b16a 20lbs stock sleeves.

 

wow im pretty impressed. does anyone have any suggestions on what turbo to run? i want to use a gt series because i can get a discount through garrett, but still want the t3 flange.

 

I ran 11.9 all day with 268 whp stock everyhting with 7 pounds in an LS/vtec

 

would one of the gt32's be a good turbo? or is that too big?

 

a nice 300hp should have you running 11's and not having to drive the hell out of the car. any descent t3/t4 with pistons and rods, and a ems should do it

You can use just about any turbo you want to reach that goal of yours..

 

well since it will be a dd also, i dont want anything laggy. would the gt32 be too laggy?

 

It should be fine for a daily just remember maintenance is a must with anything that has a power adder.

 

Our white eg with 232whp and 155wtq pulled an 11.9 at 112mph with a 1.6 sixtyfoot. Weighs about 2180lbs with driver.

I ran 11.9 in a eg around 2,000lb onthe the motor making 223hp at R&D dyno.

hes going FI so he will mostly likely need a tad more power than that. gasp

 

I'm making 304whp and knocking on 11seconds. I have a B18C1 boosted EH2.

I'm running 12.187 @118.95 with 2.0 60ft times on 22x8x13 M&H slicks.

This was my first time running with the slicks and I need to work on the slick psi and my launch.

 

what size slicks and what tranny were you guys using?
