D16z6 into dx hatch D13
Dnt know to much on the D13. but i would assume that it would be a straight forward swap. Just like any other d - d swap. You would need to follow the directions for a non vtec to vtec swap though. That just consits of adding wires, and having the correct ecu.

The thing is, his setup is carbed from factory. You'd need to convert to PGM-FI first, then do the swap, plus checking on your ECU's compliance with the OBD.

true. But with the new ecu and wireing of the motor(i.e. vtec) wont it be fine? Or would it be easier for him to just get the engine harness as well from the z6 and then the ecu and go from there?
I just thought of something since he wants to go from carb to fuel inj. that he would probabally have to change his gas tank and a fuel pump for the higher pressure, also more than likely the fuel lines would have to be changed due to the higher pressure of fuel and of course a new fuel filter for that.

I too have the same dilemma. Wanting to change the D13 into D16Z6... So it is quite certain that I don't need to change the fuel tank or add new fuel lines (the return line of injected motors)?
And do I have to exchange the fuel pump in the tank, or is the original sufficient enough for PGM-FI?
If there is nothing else motor and fuelfeed wise, then it should work, if I remove the motor, remove the carb control box in the firewall. Put the D16Z6 in (with intakemanifold with the PGM-FI unit), exchange ecu to the one which works with Z6, put all the fuel lines in place etc.??
If you don't know much about this operation, then I need to resort to the local honda dealership to get the facts about differences between the two models.
Thanks anyway, and have a nice day too.
Sorry if there is some spelling mistakes or so, but hopefully you will understand what I wrote
btw. I'm from Finland

Lines, tank, and filter DO need to be replaced, and well as the other stuff mentioned.
Ask anyone who has converted a 86-89 Accord from carb to EFI specs.

Did you ******* toolbags read the new rule under the Rules and Regs?

I got some new information concerning this swap. I DO need to change the fuelpump in the gastank to an electronic one. But I DON'T need to change the fuel lines or add a return line.
I still have to find out if I need to change the ECU harness to OBD-I compliant harness, or is there already OBD-I ECU in my car. (will find out soon, if I have time to disassemble my interior for my little project) but army service is knocking on my door, so I might not have time
Remember that the carb in this 92-95 model is ECU controlled (and usually is called one-point-injection). That is why there are the necessary fuel lines already in the car.
Will give more info when I get some. Because many european EG3 owners read these forums too
