Searched for the answer for a few days to no avail..... here's my problem...
I have a '92 Civic CX with a 94 GSR swap. Using the D-series AC compressor, I had purchased and installed what I thought was a Del Sol DOHC VTEC AC compressor bracket. I was only able to utilize two of the four bolts to connect the compressor to the bracket. Driving home the other night I had one bolt break off, so I took off the belt for the time being so I don't break the remaining bolt and end up having to replace AC lines as well.
Is there an AC bracket that allows you to properly mount the compressor to the bracket?
Is the Del Sol DOHC AC bracket the one I am supposed to use, and I was sent the wrong bracket?
Or do I need to swap out my D-series compressor and use a B-series instead?
Thanks in advance..

It sounds like you have the wrong bracket.
I have a 92 CX w/ a 95 GSR swap and used the Del Sol DOHC VTEC a/c compressor bracket. All the bolts lined up (mounting to the engine block; D series compressor mounting to the bracket). I did this a few years ago, but the bracket should have "p54" stamped on it if it's the correct bracket (can't remember if that's the correct code right now; I'll rumage through my notes and reply back). At any rate, there is a bracket that exists where all bolts line up and thread in correctly. Maybe you were given a Del Sol SOHC VTEC bracket?
So unless I missed something, it seems that you have the wrong bracket.
EDIT: corrected bracket stamp code

Yeah you definately need the DelSol VTEC bracket! Sometimes the guys at the dealerships dont listen when you say DelSol VTEC. The part number should be the one below.
Del-Sol VTEC A/C Bracket - 38930-P54-000

You are correct. Took off the compressor and found out that it was stamped P30. Damnit! I thought I had ordered a P54. I was either sent the wrong bracket or I selected the wrong one when I made the purchase online. Well, time to order the correct one AGAIN. Thanks all..
BTW, I got the "DC" joke, kingleh... (I have 14 years electronics background)..

order a 94 vtec bracket and it'll be fine. Misinformation online is crazy, half of the advice your gonna get online is just people guessing.
