B18C swap.....stock harness or JDM harness?
I'm doing a JDM B18C (Automatic SIR-G) swap into an automatic 95 Civic Ex. Do I use the stock civic harness or do I use the JDM harness that came with the motor?? I'm gettin' a lot of different answers. If I need to extend wires, how do I do that?

cut and solder man. can anyone suggest what gauge of wire to use? should it be high-temp wire or just regular Radio Shack wires?
just use your stock harness and run the wires for the vtec and knock sensor, just cut off the connectors from the jdm harness and solder the connectors to normal 16 guage wire and you can pin them in at the connectors for the engine harness then to the ecu, or just run them directly to the ecu
have you done this on an Automatic before? I'm just wondering because my motor is JDM and there could be a difference in the wiring between JDM and USDM. That's one of the difference. Another is Automatic and Manual. So there's two of the concerns that I have. I know a lot of people here have done manual but I haven't seen anyone with automatic JDM B18C swap. My friend is doing the wiring. He got it to click a few times like it's gonna start but it doesn't start. He says I need to get an automatic 94-01 Integra LS wiring harness

do you think that will work?
All he did was plug in all the harnesses (I think that's what he did so far). There's 3 harnesses from the JDM motor's tranny that don't go anywhere. The civic harness doesn't have plugs for those 3. So he can't plug it in anywhere.

why would u waste time doing an AUTOMATIC swap? why not take the time out to learn to drive STICK? if u dont already kno, but then in that case why would u do the auto b18c swap? id say its much more fun to drive a manual car then a wimpy automatic
I got it for a good deal. way cheaper than a manual., complete swap, plus it's JDM. Also my dad doesn't trust me with manual since I've already been in a car accident where my friend lost his life and the hatchback split in half.
