busted spot on block where oil pressure sending unit goes...
i was tightening my oil pressure sending unit and i guess i over-torqued it and part of the block broke off. heres the link to the pic of it. http://www.we-todd-did-racing....x.jpgnow i need opinons of what to do. thinking about tapping the hole and putting a bolt in there and sealing it up but i need to find a 10mm (?) x .9mm tap. anyone else have to deal with this before?

That happens all the time .Be careful and run a pipe tap in it a little farther .When you do it .Put grease on the tap.So when your taping it .The chips will stick to the grease. Then when your done .leave it open .And spin the motor over until oil comes out of the hole. And it will clean all the **** out of it too.
just for future reference, u never wanna tighten that fitting on the block too tight. just hand tight and then another 1/4 turn. i have my oil pressure fitting on the back of my block with no problems when i installed it that way. theres also an adapter that goes from i think BSPT to NPT or something like that, to make the installation easier.
i see u have a GE oil adapter plate, r u using the ports for something else like turbo feed line or VTEC line?

thanks for the tip with the grease. ill be really careful i dont want any metal frags in my new engine. and yah i should have known better than putting to much force on it but i just wasnt thinkin. im using on of the ports for VTEC oil line and im going to use the other for my oil pressure sending unit.
any other options guys? kind of iffy on drilling out the hole a little bit then tapping it. dont really want to tear down the engine again.
I had it happen years ago, good old Jb weld fixed it..Of corse the sensor could never be removed. Mine didnt break off as bad though , just cracked.
