Default Cracked Transmission Housing

Hello all,

Recently while prying a stubborn driveshaft out it seems the transmission housing cracked which has now sprung a little leak. When the transmission is hot the leak big enough to wet the underside of the car.

Besides welding it up, is there any other solution (even short term?). Some type of new uber silicon? Brazing?

You'll need to get welded. No other solutions. Try not to use JB weld or other silicon's as it will dirty up the crack and make it harder to weld.

gonna have to weld it. I think i have 1 tranny housing out of about 4 or 5 that is not doctored in one way or another. On the bright side they weld very nice unlike some of the old sand cast stuff.
