got a bolt busted off on the exhaust side of my turbo. It wasnt cross threaded as i had 4/5 good turns on it by hand to start it. Just halfway through tightening it down it got tight (bent the bolt somehow mabe?) Anyways its one of the 4 that holds the DP on. I took the turbo off and gave it to a machine shop to get the 1/4" pece of bolt out. Any one have a similar experience and how cleanly did it come out? I told them explicitly not to helicoil the turbo housing under any circumstance. Stories? Advice?
helicoils are stronger than the threard where originally, You should of bought a set of easy outs, trust me your going to need them later on in life

yeah my uncle has a set and has a drill press but at the moment it wasnt convenient. Besides hopefully these guys know what theyre doing and can get it out without ruining it. Besides im quite sure its not a problem with the threads in the housing itself If the threads stripped out i wouldnt have alot of shoice but to helicoil or replace the hot side of the turbo. They should be able to get it out fairly clean and run a tap through to clean up the threads in the housing (praying)
