just installed header and hi flow cat on 2000 d16y8 sohc. after getting on it and seeing what she could do i noticed a slight squeeking coming from inbetween the engine compartment and the inside of the car when i shift 1 to 2nd as well as to 3rd. also the check engine light came on. i asked my local performance shop and they said it is common to see the check engine light when replacing cat with a hi flow test pipe, could this just be a sensor? really want to know if i should bring it to the shop, has anyone ever encountered a similar squeek by pressing on the clutch or gas pedal? need help

 

i have the clutch squeak. you have to lube under the rubber boot. I cant remember what its called. Its where the clutch line goes into the trans. There is a rubber boot with 2 layers. You have to get under the second layer n lube it up. I havent goten a chance to get to it, but let me know it it works.
