Is it true SOHC vtec dont have VIN??
i want to buy a SOHC D16Z6 but i dont want it hot so i wanna do a carfax on but the guy says they dont come with numbers. Is this true?

A car or a motor? A VIN is a Vehicle Identification Number, so no, a motor would not have it. If he says his car doesn't, then there's something wrong.

i doubt you'll find many "stolen" d series engines. It's not really worth their time. Out of all my friends cars who've gotten stolen. Not one had their d-series taken.

Is the plate on the 99+ motors an actual VIN number, or is it just a serial number on a plate instead of marked on the block? I've never bothered to check mine...

Same VIN thats on the chassis, dash, doors, your pink slip. Exact same.
