my turbo stopped boosting for some reason.help......anybody?

 

I dont know nothing about boost but maybe the oil line is disconnected or something. dont call me stupid cuz im an NA buy myself so I don't know just trying to help. well good luck

 

There is a button on the turbo you have to switch to "on".

No but for real check your charge pipes.

 

need more details/symptoms ....

 

check all your boost tubes and stuff....my friends car wouldnt booost with a small leak in one of the rubber connectors.

Can you still hear the turbo whining as you accelerate?

Do you have a boost gauge?


The first thing I would do (as already mentioned) is to check the couplers on your intercooler piping. If you have a leak then you're not going to build boost correctly. Next is to check all the vaccuum lines in your car.

If you don't know where to start, please consult a friend or mechanic who knows what they are doing.

Well, you have to be more specific than this.

Did an intercooler hose bust off? I would hope the oil feed line didn't come off, otherwise say goodbye to the turbo. What clue do you have that it isn't boosting? Nothing on the gauge? No power? Do you hear it? Is the wastegate opening?

 

Seriously, we need more details.

 

the turbo still spools, but theres like an exhaust leak sound whenever i start the car.i do have a gauge and noticed that its not going passed the zero.

 

i talked to my friend today and we found out that i was missing like a couple of bolts in the manifold, i dont know how that happens but its almost fix now..thanks anyways
