Default I still can't lower my ride height on new Ground controls?!?!

My rear has been sitting on jack stands since Friday, soI thought I'd try to lower my front end while I got nothing else to do until Monday.

I got the allen key bolt out and the adjuster thing won't budge!!!

I even jacked the corner up, loosened the top nuts inside the engine bay on the koni yellows. No movement.

Is their a certain way of doing this, cause I sure haven't figured it out.

BTW, its a DC4, 450lbs front, 400 lbs rear, on yellows.

You're not supposed to take the allen piece out completely. Just loosen it a few turns and then adjust. Try some wd40 on the sleeve threads too.

im guessing without you saying so, the spring is preloaded a bit and still putting presure on the collar, even though you have the wheel jacked up.

you need to relieve some of that pressure in order to make it easier to move the collar.

this is what i do. get a flat wrench, like an adjustable crescent wrench. stick the flat side through the spring near the top of the sleeve. then push up on the wrench so you put some upward pressure on the spring. hopefully enough to lift the spring off the collar. it should be completely free to spin now.

OK, thats my rears. I'm a little uncertain if I put the correct red threaded sleeve part in the rear and front. I think I might have them mixed up. Cause there are 2 that are long, and 2 that are shorter, and I put the longer threaded sleeves up front. The smaller ones are shown in the pic, (Rear)

Did I do it right?

And what do you mean by preloaded. I read about this, but I was kinda confused by what it meant.

hmm...i cant remember which goes where...but by the way it looks your on the money...have you ever thought about the GC Extended top hats...they will eliminate some or most of that gap that you have pictured...or you can make your own...

maybe vtecvoodoo, tyson, or crx lee can help on which sleeves go where...

Yup Marauder is right.

vtecvoodoo just called GC and comfirmed that the longer ones are out back. Their also going to add that to their instructions because it doesn't say which goes where.

Thanks guy.

Just gotta get my bushings pressed into the rear lca and I'm good to roll.
