SOHC ZC Probs/Questions
So i just put a sohc in my 1990 std hatch. It previosly had a dohc zc but spun a bearing twice. Anyways i put the motor in and realized that the driver side motor mount does not fit. Then i noticed the ditibutor plugs were different. This led me to believe that the motor is an obd1 version. So i put my old obd0 injectors in but the obd0 distributor mount holes are different. So what can i do to make this work? Can I put a 92-95 civic drivers side mount on it and drill and tap new dizzy holes? Any help is extremely apreciated.
You dont need to drill or tap anything. Take the entire mount off the block, there's a mount, and a mount bracket which are attatched to the block. Take them all off and put yours off your old motor onto it and it'll be nice. The dizzy mounts shouldn't need drilled of any kind, I've got a friend with an OBD0 ZC in his EG, no modifications were needed, I'm sure its fine the other way around.
