1986 Accord Help pleaseeeeeeeee
unless you wanna dump a ton of cash into your car and go through lots of trial and error stuff, id say get the idea of an H22 out of your head. Ive seen B20's, and B16's in these cars...but everything has to be custom made. If you want to go for the best bang for your buck i would suggest going with boost. Putting together a turbo setup would be the best way to go IMO.
yes..its slow..but hey..nice car..and its pretty much bulletproof..pop up head lights own all

haha...... 3geez.com is your friend.... k series? dang.... never heard of that... for a standard b swap ( b16, b18, b20) your looking at 5k at least.... and if you can find b series motor mounts your lucky.... nobody makes them anymore.... so either custom made... or search your butt off.... and they'll be at least 700 bucks for the mounts... just a fyi..... basically.... just turbo it...
Rebuild it and port and polish everything before you turbo it. porting and polishing if done correctly can get you near 140hp and then you can turbo it. I had a 1992 sable and the port and polish boosted the HP from 140 to 180 and then I added a supercharger setup and was pushing 325 at the front wheels with an auto trans. That car owned just about anything on the street.
there is a guy on 3geez.com that's running a 200bhp motor. not bad for a motor that came with like 98hp to begin with (he was using carbed motors). a lot of his stuff seems to be head work.
his username is rjudgey or something like that. look him up.
