ls-turbo daily driver
well, i found an ls-t eg for a good price so i bought it since i was looking for a car to deliver pizza with. it wasn't finished when i bought it and since then i finished off the turbo setup with dsm injectors(resistor box and plugs as well), spark plugs, wires, new fuel pump, etc.
all i have left to do is get it tuned. now, seeing as i'm going to be putting 50 or so stop-and-go miles on it a day, is there anything in particular i should ask for when i get it tuned? i was also thinking of keeping the boost low when i'm delivering.
i've had some people tell me that it isn't a good idea to use it for a daily driver, and i've also heard others with similar setups say there will be no harm done... so can i work around this or did i just make a horrible buying decision?

I'd have it street tuned. That way it's setup for your daily driving and ready to see boost all at teh same time. It'll be fine, and keep it out of boost for the most part you'll still see that same great gas mileage.
if you're out of boost, you pretty much have a stock car. It's easy to stay out of boost if you have a huge turbo where the boost threshold will occur in the higher rpms.
get a 2 stage boost controller so you can turn on the boost when you are late and lower it when you are taking it easy around town. as long as the weather where you are is cool and steady you should be running fine. a 3" will be loud imo 50 miles a day, you should look into a cut out as well. good luck though you wont regret it.

i was using my turbo ls to deliver a few months ago, less then an hour after i got outta work i was running mustang cobras with it haha. it was funny.
yes basically as long as you stay out of boost, its a stock car, with a few more oil lines. just watch the oil temps, cause i know when im working sometimes my car will be on for a few hours at a clip with me being in and out of the store with deliveries

There's a dude around here that delivers pizza in an R32 Skyline GTS-T, which I find quite amusing.
If your car has a shitty SSautochrome manifold it's not going to last in stop and go traffic with lots of heat cycles, so keep that in mind. Otherwise you should be gravy.
