question like title says.. can i convert a power door from civic ex to manual door so i can put it onto my si hatchback? i'm sure its possible, but has anyone ever done this before?

 

ived done this conversion and my approach was labor intensive(due to my choices to keep it <U>clean</U> and most importantly <U>OEM</U>).
i used the following parts:

jdm eg6 power window conversion i bought from- http://www.icbmotorsport.com
usdm 1992-95 ex black master power window switch and passenger window switch from the junkyard

there are a few other parts to complete the conversion that i cant recall at this time. just do a search here on h-t. its been covered more than enough that you can actually find it. good luck.

 

actually, i want to change a power door onto being non power.. i have a 92 si hatch and one door is damaged.. but i have an ex door which is power and so i want to know if i can convert it to being non power.
so the question really is.. are the door parts interchangable? swap from one door to the other..

 

I haven't personally done it, but i know that it is possible, you just have to swap over the regulator and all the related stuff that makes the window move.

All you need to do is remove the power window regulator and power door panels. Replace with non power regulator/door panels. I'd leave the window plugs tucked away in the door somwhere so you can easily switch back if you want to.

I'll buy your power door panels and trade you my non power ones.

 

my power door panels are tan.. its ugly enough it being the color it is already but the idiot that owned the car before me painted it white
