Well i have owned 5 honda's this is my first del sol a 95 si well today i was driving and i notice the oil pressure light came on for a sec car has 200,300 miles on it
so i noticed when i make left hand turns it pop on and goes off quickly, but then i was driving a few hours ago and when i was coming outta first at maybe 800 rpms it came on and shut off again i dunno what it is my dip stick is deff wrong and i know the car burns oil its my daily driver and suggestions

 

How do you know the dip stick is wrong?

 

do you actually have oil in the car and if you do maybe is ur oil pump going bad thats a lot of miles so you might wanna get that checked out be4 it totally goes out on u and bye bye

 

does your car smoke any, check for oil leaks, and yeh like slammed said that is alotta miles so u might wanna get a new oil pump.

My dipstick was wrong on my 97 ex and the one thing i can tell you from that experience is: DONT ADD OIL IF YOU DONT KNOW WHERE ITS AT!!!!

I bent a piston rod because my dipstick said **0** oil when i had 4 quarts in it. If you know its wrong then let it sit overnight. Maybe like 12 hrs or something like that so you can see whats up. I still have yet to find out what happened to mine and why the dipstick read like that, but i did oil changes every 3-5k and did all the scheduled maintenance so i know it wasnt me.

 

if the dipstic is wrong make it easy on urself... drain ur oil and replace it with 3.1/4 quarts then u know it wont be low or full
