why does my car "boggle out" under 3000 RPM but once it gets back that it takes off
i bought a 94 LS and before i swapped my GSR in the LS would like boggle out under 3000 RPM's but once it got past 3200 it would just take off. Then i did the swap and put the LS motor into my 91 LS integra and it does the same thing. and im clueless as to why it does this.any idea's thanx.
Fuel: Fuel filter
Fire: Spark plugs, wires, distributor cap, rotor, coil
Air: Air Filter, O2 sensor (It may be on it's way out and not throwing a code yet)
Test what you can. I had the same problem and it ended up being my fuel filter.

are you in the right gear for the right speed???
5th gear at 25mph is gonna seem like its "boggling out" under 3k....
or is it in 1st and just starting out??

no im in the right gear.its just like starting out. Thats the weird thing the distributor's good to go.the only thing that i havent replaced were plugs and wires. but i didnt think that he would cause it to boggle out like that. also fuel/air filters good to go also.i have some nologly wires that im gunna try putting on for now to see if they make and sort of a difference
this may be a long shot, but:
my car did that after i replaced the radiator and also a couple years later when i replaced timing belt and water pump. it had to do with air pockets in the cooling system because both times i drained the coolant and didn't completely bleed the cooling system after reassembly. air pockets threw off the temp sensor, so the ecu thought the engine was cold and ran it richer. at about 3000rpm the power would suddenly kick in, but still not as strong as it should've. once the engine got hot after running at high rpms (5000) while i drove, the air would get pushed out of the system and it ran fine.
after u swapped the engine in, u might have some air in the cooling system, bleed it by running the engine with open radiator cap till the fans turn on, u should see bubbles in the filler pipe. just let it run for a while, then put some more fluid in it. also try running at higher rpms for a good 15min while driving. both methods fixed my problems after about 2-3 cycles.
