hey wassup my friend has a 93 prelude with a h22a motor in it... when the car temp reaches normal the car sputters and stalls out wut could be the problem we checked all the wires, and everything is in. any ideas he's trying to get this thing running by saturday for honda day so help! thanks

 

Any mods to the H22? What ECU? CEL?

Does is run poor or not run at all? Is it only upper revs that are a problem?

 

mods ihe, and 12 to sumtin compression not really sure.. once the car hits normal temp. its sputters n stalls out doesn't matter wut rpm he's at..

 

hes got alot more done than ihe if he has a "12 something" compression ratio

 

sorry he has 11.1 compression dnno where i got 12 from. he has intake header, exhaust, clutch/flywheel... thats about it.

 

Ask him what ECU he has, if it's chipped or not, and also if he's getting a cel.

 

its a p14 ecu (h23). and he gets no cels...

 

once the car is warned up it goes into closed loop and reads all the sensors...one of your sensors is buggy..likely the O2 sensor but it could be another. Start checking voltages etc.

 

any other suggestions?

 

I tend to agree, but it's strange to have no cel from a sensor that's causing that much trouble. Isn't there a way to lock the ECU into open loop? Atleast he could drive it if needed then.
