Default Momo Seats and Large Drivers?

I'm trying to figure out what seat to get for my large "frame", almost 6'2'', 250 lbs, 40 inch waist. Right now, it looks like the Cobra Suzuka GT is a good fit. The Sparco EVO 2 might also be a good option. Corbeau has some large seats for cheap but if they aren't FIA rated, I don't want it. Now, http://www.ltbmotorsports.com has MOMO seats for some excellent prices but I don't believe I fit in any of them. I've squeezed into a Acropolis but it's freaking tight. Have any of you "large drivers" found a MOMO seat that fits?

I looked at it but it doesn't have an FIA rating. At least that's what the Sparco size chart shows.

as you probably already know, the Momo Start is going to be too small for you.. I have a 33" waist and it fits me perfectly..

I'm 5' 10 1/2" (feel better when I add in that half inch ), 250, 40" waist, and have the Acropolis.

I've had it about 4 years now, and it was very tight when I was approaching maximum density around 280, but now it's not a bad fit. Guess it's personal preference, but I like it a little snug. I don't think that you'll find a larger Momo seat, unfortunately, so if you don't like the Acropolis, you probably should be looking at Sparco or Cobra.

That's what I'm affraid off. If I go with Sparco, I'm looking at almost $900 between Suzuka GT and rails. Where if I go with MOMO, I can get seat and rails for under $650. Argh, what to do????

Jenny Craig!

Good luck - you'd think that the companies would be making larger seats these days, with the Oprahization of America and all.

Wow. I love H-T.com. Why? Well, a fellow member turn me on to http://www.tankslapperautosport.com and got hooked up with a brand new black Sparco EVO 3 and aluminum side brackets for a very good price. All for being a fellow H-T.com member. Oh yeah, the EVO 3 is FIA rated.

Thanks speedracer33!

I know you have already found your evo 3, but for future searchers the Cobra Suzuka GT is a damn good seat for the money. I am 6' 5" 240lbs and it is PLENTY comfortable for me. FIA as well.

I agree with you on the Suzuka GT. Actually it was my first choice. However, the EVO 3 was simply a fantastic price. So, that's what I went with. ...and I'll have to admit that having everything sparco (wheel, shift *** and seat) did help me in the decision.

Alright, call me a ricer but at least it's not "jdm"
