OK, last night, I noticed that when making a sharp turn such as a freeway on-ramp or making a hard stop, my oil light would come on. I am totally baffled by this because there is no sign of an oil leak anywhere in the engine bay or on the ground where I park. But then things got one step worse.- My temp. gauge starts gradually going in the "uncomfortably warm" zone. If anyone could help me diagnose my problem before I have to take it to an ******* mechanic that'll charge me up the ***, it would be more than appreciated. Thanx in advance, I know you guys can help. :-D

 

Yes you need to get an oil change or add more oil, basically when your taking a turn all the oil is leaning to one side, pulling it away from the sensor and thats making the oil light come on.

 

Could that lead to it starting to overheat, or is that another headache all together?

 

well it could lead to a lot of things I would just go get your oil changed its like 20 bucks.

 

had this happen all the time with my 89, just change your oil or if you just changed it add some. the heat issue is probably something else

 

I checked my oil and it was a little low, added some and topped off my coolant just to be sure and everything is smooth so far [knock on wood]. Thanx guys.
