Default Cast Iron Or Stainless Steel

Im not sure if this topic was ever discussed....but im pretty new on here. I'm wondering what type of manifold would be best for my fully built h22, daily driven car. I've heard that stainless steel is only for the track and they usually crack. My car will mostly be on the streets and maybe put it on the track twice a year. I just wanna know your opinion and if you can recommend a few companies. All feedback will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Default Re: Cast Iron Or Stainless Steel (icebergli)

a thin wall manifold that isnt properly braced will crack, on the other hand. we now have multiple individuals & multiple campanies that are producing a thick wall stainless manifold for our cars.

check out http://www.full-race.com for more info on this subject, they have a small tech section and also a message forum where you can ask questions.

btw. ive had a cast iron manifold crack on me before.
