Koni / Gc *Off the shelves?*
Would i still be getting my moneys worth and a great setup if i just run off the shelf koni yellows and normal stock spring rates that gc produces? Im a pretty amateur driver when it comes to racing or anything but i want to get the best out of the product i am buying and i am considering my options since i have already bought "off the shelf" koni sport yellows.
yes you will be getting your money's worth...just dont race a lot...and if you feel the need to change to a higher spring rate there are plenty of people here on h-t that will sell you there's...i'm on koni yellows and GC with 450lbs/in front and 400lbs/in rear...i'm going to be chaning the rear springs for 550lbs/in...

The OTS rates are fine for 90% of the public. People are so concerned with spring rates these days even though they have no idea how to apply them. I think they just like to say "custom rates"

Amen. I have never been asked so many "what is the best spring rate?" questions when in reality most people who knew enough about spring rates to make an evaluation would know that this isn't really a viable questiona as there are far too many variables.
I like wine and I am learning more about it bit my bit but I know I can't just go to a person of expereince and ask what is the best wine for me as there is no real correct answer that I can be given simply. Instead, I read what I can, taste what I can, see what I can afford, and develop my interests and perferences as I go along. Until that point, you follow the general suggestions of good choices from those who know more than you but don't expect that will be the be-all and end-all best. Plus it helps to know what is for dinner.
Assemble a large group of nice people together. With the best of intentions, starting handing them loaded handguns one at a time. Before long, someone is going to get hurt. Some amount of knowledge or ability can easily become detrimental if not used correctly.

i will give you a HOLLA LOUYA to that.
Unlike alot of companies thought and testing was put into the rates that they have set for cars. IMO its a great balance betwee, comfort and performance.

im just saying that if you arn't going to go with higher spring rates later on, there are cheaper alternatives to koni's. such as kyb agx's.
higher rates help lower bodyroll, but with higher rates, you also do lose traction..

get spring rates of 1800 in the front and the max that eibach does for the rear. let me know how long till ur teeth fall out
i had traction problem in the front with 350/450 rates on a 4th gen prelude. i'd barely tap the gas and i would lose traction and wheelspin. in turns when i floored it, i would wheel spin through the whole turn. maybe it was cause i was boosted
