Default Car died, won't start, can't seem to find the problem...

Saturday I was driving down the highway, not beating on the car or anything, just cruising around 3k rpms when all of the sudden the car feels like its breaking up and it just dies. I pull over to the side of the road, check the spark plugs, fuel pump, oil level, and everything checks out fine. The car is not leaking anywhere it just won't start though.

I had noticed it the night before starting to break up right when vtec would normally come in and it was spitting oil out of the exhaust according to my buddy, but only when it would start to break up. That could just be the normal blowbye though.

I am stumped on this and haven't gotten a chance to start tearing apart the car yet due to work but the only thing I can think it could be is an oil pressure problem. Maybe the oil pump took a crap on me or something.

Anyone have any ideas as to what it might be? I am stumped.

Losing oil pressure will not shut the car down. You'll just lose oil pressure and eventually you will lose some bearings. You said that you checked the spark plugs but did you check if they spark when you crank the engine. Hondas have poorly designed ignitors in the distrubutor. They always go out.

Kind of dumb. But you didn't run out of gas did you? With a Walbro fuel pump, my friend runs out of gas at 1/4 tank. He didn't know what the **** was going on either. Good Luck btw

I don't think I did, I have ran the car much further down than where it is with the walbro in it so I assume there is still fuel in it, I'll look into that first.
