Default Bronze valve guides ?

I can get mself a set for dirt cheap, will these live as long as stock units or longer due to there being more slippery?
Please only answer with personal experience.
Thanks.

They should last longer then the stock iron ones if done properly.Bronze guides aren't that expensive to begin with, what's a "dirt cheap" deal to you?Your aware that they need to be fit to the valve stems and a new valve job is also required after installation.

$50 for all 16 still in the package from supertech or some such brand. Yes I am aware that reaming and a valve job will be needed, this will be done with my new vlaves anyway. The head is apart on my bench, I am removing casting flash and lightly touching up the bowls so I am not in a big hurry or anything. Thanks for the info!
