Default tools for the track

Do you guys normally bring a bunch of tools to track events with you? How much is too much? what are the essentials you wouldn't leave home without? this post is for last minute preperation for VIR this weekend.

bring enough to do normal maintenance - tires, brakes (bleeding) & pad changes, oil changes, cap/rotor/plugs, jack & jack stands....

I'm the tool king at the track...I'd rather pack heavy & beat Murphy's Law myself, but that's jmho.

A 2 man tent makes a nice storage facility while you are on the track.

i take a ratchet set, torque wrench, floor jack, jackstands, boards to put under jackl and jack stands, air tank, air gauge, screwdriver set, etc.

as for 'essentials' i bring a 6 pack of water, some granola bars, sunscreen, a hat, a tarp, a chair, 4 extra tires, extra rotors and pads, extra brake fluid, extra oil, some windex or something to clean your windshield, a gas can with extra gas,

oh yeah, definitely make sure you got your helmet, gloves, etc and tech/medical papers (if needed)

here are a couple of threads: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=132561 https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=119137

-jeff, who fits all the aforementioned stuf into an itr (who needs SUV's?)

Pyromaster has a good list started there....

I would bring a big (i.e. useful size) fire extinguisher if you can afford to. I saw a very nice Porsche 993 go up in flames last year..... Electrical fires are tough to put out.

You must bring DUCT TAPE!!!! Packing an extra fan belt is probably another good one to bring.

good point about the parts....hell I bring more parts than the local part stores carry - lol

Tip: It doesn't take much space to bring that belt, brake pad set, etc that you took off for your new shiney parts....the old ones can save your **** on a Sunday when everybody else is closed.
bring a couple of these for Saturday night between track days.

I always have the essentials in my car no matter what I'm doing. I bought this nice little pouch of with an array of sockets and screw drivers. Also have coolant and a quart of oil handy just in case. In my glove box, I got duct tape (the all purpose fixer upper) and electrical tape.)

Funny how I have this stuff handy in my car all the time but never have a shovel when I need one (damn Canadian winters)

I was debating whether to lug my new AC floor jack down there. It would be nice to have, but it is rather heafty, not to mention that the paddock is gravel.

I am bringing plenty of fluids, a socket set, a torque wrench, etc.. I even have 2 unopened bottles of RBF600 someone is welcome to use.
