Default Is it expensive for a normal track day?

I have heard that the tire will have to be changed after 5-6laps. Except tires what else do you have to prepare for a track day?

Depending on the thread depth your tires will easily last you more than a few laps. I haven't personally tracked on some of the newer stickier compound tires yet. But I believe I did around 6 weekend (2 day) events and a decent amount of street miles on my Falken Azenies RT-615. However, with most tires that you will pickup you should have no problem getting quite a few events on them.

Other things to prep is to upgrade:
- Brake fluid (ATE Superblue or Motul RBF600). Note, that you should bleed your brakes and do a flush more often than stock fluid as brake fluid is hygroscopic and absorbs water/moisture from the air.

- Brake pads - you can just get a dedicated set of track rotors and pads or even just pads for track duty. These will also last you a decent amount of events.

Otherwise, just make sure your car is mechanically sound, purchase a helmet and you are good to go.

Maybe if you're running used Hoosiers, whoever told you that was full of it. Ali's advice above is spot on.

I'll get 15ish events out of a set of RE-11's

Where are you doing your track days? At a gravel quarry?
