94 cx engine into a 95 ex???

No. The engine must be the same year or newer than the car.

NO WAY!! They will take you to jail with a quickness.

jfwy man. It is legal but I don't see much point in it unless you just need something to get you around town.

Actually, it is illegal. The engine does have to be newer than the car...but honestly, who is going to be able to tell??

It should be illegal to put a CX motor into an EX. Why would you want to do that?

Man i feel bad for that ex, born with a nice ole D series feeling all powerful over the other civic's and all the sudden given a shitty'r motor. hate to be that car when it pulls up next to another EX

it depends on which state you are in and the emissions testing they do.
in cali, nope you're going to fail testing.

pretty much every other state doesn't care at all.
I know a guy that has an 91 B16 in a 98 civic, he's never had a problem.

Got a '94 B16 in my '97 Civic. No problems here until I decide to move somewhere warm. Does Florida have similar laws to Cali?
