Default CF hood for H22 CRX?

Im looking to source parts for my H22 CRX project, can anyone tell me if I need a custom made hood? Or do I just raise the stock one slightly?

I shall be using the hasport mount kit.

Thanks

Brilliant, I didnt want to spend $400 or so on a CF hood only to find I need a custom made one. Thanks for the reply, hopefully this will help others also.

I know hasport used a Integra 90-93 radiator but if you are wanting to boost thew h22 would it be best advised to use a 92-95 civic/del sol radiator? and if so is there enough room to tilt this. I guess with the swap being quite rare its difficult to tell, any advice would be great thou.

Thanks

To answer both questions an aftermarket hood is not needed especially if your making custom mounts, because obviously you can set the engine where you want. I have about 3/4" to spare on the highest part of the valve cover on my h22 crx with the stock hood. But to maximize your ground clearance and to tuck that engine as high as you can a USDM SIR CF/Fiberglass hood would give me atleast 2" of room on the highest point of the valve cover. Every inch counts! The 92-00 civic radiator is not a good idea with the lean it just created a **** load of problems for me the engine radiator housing sat parallel to the radiator So I would of had to make a sharp S and the bottom spout went right up into the cable conv. bracket. So I would say not possible unless you make a lot of modification. Option 1 go to the junkyard and get a full size dual core 88-91 civic sedan radiator or Option 2 there is a better solution there is a few aftermarket companys out there that know that the 92-00 civic radiator wont fit in a crx with out the lean and they have cut about 2-3" off the length! So that it will fit! Check around a few cars efs have them on here.

As I am from the UK does anyone know the nearest fitment to a USDM SIR CF/Fiberglass hood?

Is this the hood with the bulge or without? We get the odd JDM SIR in the UK but not many.

Where in the U.S would sell a USDM SIR CF/Fiberglass hood ? I shall probably get one shipped accross if there are no alternatives

Thanks
