I don't know who makes them but from the way it looks, would it be possible for someone to unscrew the shift **** pry up on that loop a bit and pop the shifter out of the loop/lock?

Good idea but not sure how affective it would be if the **** was removed. I mean what it looks to be mounted to isn't real strong, you could probably get it to flex enough without damaging much if anything to remove the shifter from the lock if the **** was out of the way.

I don't know, thats just my $.02, I could be way off since I've never seen one in person.

haha what a coincidence, thats one of my customers' car.

its a multi-lock, you can probably get it at any car audio shop. imo i hate it, cuz its a pain in the *** to get the center console off with that on

oh that thing isn't going anywhere, **** is like 1/8" steel bolted to the frame down below. and theres no way in hell your gonna pry it up and slip the shift lever through. i had a hell of a time getting the damn console off to work on the **** last time.

I was kind of thinking what TouringAccord said about being able to pry up but that sounds real good. But just how bad does it add to working on things that require removal of the centre console?

it gets a bit annoying cuz say if you want to get that center console out, you really need to like bend her out of the way and squeeze it out.

though i guess you could just go under the car and unbolt it, but i never bothered trying that before.

but its definitely pretty sturdy that it can't be just pryed off.
