My friend has lighting with a volant intake.He uses a prefilter slip-on.It protects the filter from getting dirty and damanged.He said it flows really good through it.

Anybody have experience with these on there Honda?

I think that's pretty pointless. All you need is a filter.

Well pointless for performance, but does it hurt performance?

If not it would save you alot of time having to wash your filter.

what a waste of money

hell yes it would hurt performance, its ANOTHER thing your engine has to suck air through.

if you are complaining about washing your filter you are doing it too much. K&N says 30-40k miles. even when its completley black it will still be working. cleaning a filter is what breaks it down, each time you clean it you are shortening the life of the filter.
