Default HELP... question about B16A and B16a2 differences

Ok my car has a B16a motor. I installed a B16a2 oil pump so could install the Crank Function Sensor because the ecu is OBD2. My problem is that I am still getting a check engine code(54 crank function sensor). I am wondering if I need to change the timing belt sprocket to one off a B16A2 also. This is the only thing I can think of because the sensor is brand new and wired in correctly. I can only guess that the B16a motor has nothing for the CKF sensor to read. Any input would be greatly appreciated . I need this car to pass emissions by Tuesday .
