Default ITR suspension question --> Rear LCA

So i went to install my recently purchased ITR springs, rear shocks/hats, rear LCA's on my 00 Integra LS and a few questions/issues arised after the install.

Somehow, the last bolt that i had to torque down (its one of the two bolts that connect the sway bar to the LCA - i have a 22mm ITR w/beaks kit) cross threaded. I tried numerous times to get it in there straight, but no luck. I wasnt using my power tools at the time, and the LCA was brand new. I was pretty upset especially since the rest of the install went relatively smoothly.

Not wanting to buy another LCA or chisel out the tack welded nut, i sprayed the bolt and nut with wd40 and slowly threaded the bolt with my 1/2" ratchet. There was signifcant resistance, and the bolt eventually did thread all the way in. Once all the way in, i was very careful not to worsen the threads by over-torquing it. I felt the bolt on the other side and got it as close to other side by touch. Although I used threadlocker, I doubt its effectiveness because of the wd40. My questions about this are:

Will this mess up the swaybar preload from left to right/vice versa since the other bolt isnt crossthreaded (i got the torque settings as close as possible to each side as i could)?

The bolt wont go flying out (i know its unlikely, just wondering if its happened to anyone else before) on a hard turn where the sway bar is under load, will it?

That sucks. Its happened to me but not like you discribed. I've had no problems with cituations like your. You'll be fine. Just check the bolts in a 1k miles or so and see how they are. Your swaybar will be fine.

Myself and a freind had the same problem when fitting ITR LCAs to an EG6 (Uk spec) but after doing near enough the same as you we got it in finally. He just checked on it every so often and it was fine, and never gave any problems after.

Same thing happened to me also, boy was I pissed. I finally got it in and hit it with the air, no problems at all a year later, although Im screwed pretty much if I ever decide to remove the rear bar lol.

hey guys, thanks for reading my story. usually honda-tech lets me down when i post stuff like this.

i've been checking it, and it looks like its in there pretty good. i poured some threadlocker on the end of the tackwelded nut just to be on the safe side. i just did some spirited driving up a local road and i'll check it in the morning...
