Well, the previous owner of the turbo kit I bought; we installed the kit & he put a huge oil return line on it... & the line was crimped in the middle... which was letting oil pass the seals into the charge piping... & into the bottom of the intercooler (This lasted for about 5 minutes until we found the problem, fixed it & no more probs.). Anyhow, his car already blew up after 2 days & I have re-purchased the kit & there is still some oil in the bottom of the intercooler. Can I just use a garden hose & flush it out with tap water & let it dry out? Thanks.

 

You should know that oil and water do not mix.

Use some sort of solvent. Carb cleaner, brake parts cleaner, alcohol. Anything but plain water.

 

just pour some gasoline in there, swish it around a bit and pour it back in the can and use it for your lawnmower. It will clean it wonderfully.

 

yeah dump some gas in there and blow it all out.

 

buy some simple green that'll take care of it

 

Brake cleaner worked good for me....just be prepared to clean up a mess.

Yea, I used break cleaner and some engine degreaser stuff.
