.mov file of my idle issue. Has anyone ever had idle like this?
Someone else said it sounds like valves are too tight.
Sorry for the crappy audio, but here is the 'JIST" of things.
Motor is 1'st gen B16a with CTR slugs, cams, rev valvetrain, port and polish, and mugen head gasket. It only has idle time and no road time yet. I'm using Hondata s200 and switched all the wiring to obd1 from obd0. I am throwing no codes and I have the logger to ensure me of that.
When I first start the motor is runs fine, but after a minute or so it start to sound like it's choking. Just like it's lopy from a huge cam, but it's only CTR cams. Then, if I give it anywhere from 5% to 10% throttle, it magnifies the problem/sound. But if I give it a quick 25% throttle or more, it stops, until it gets back to an idle.

i had the same problem with a swap i did on a b16 put on a aftermarket throttle body and it made the same funky idle so i got some gasket maker at napa and then it ran great
it sounds really weird. Does that mean its running Lean?
It sounds like a miss. Did you do anything with your coolent? a buble could be on your ICV.

I'm using an aftermarket t/b gasket. I'll throw a type r one on the next chance I get and see if that helps.... Thanks. If it still does the same thing, I'll use some hondabond and see if that seals it up.

you know I am sure you have already tried these but timing, spark (plugs, wires, maybe pull the plugs out just to see you they look, dizzy) and maybe a vacuum leak

Did you guys just swap the motor in? just saw the video, and i had the same problem. Problem was i got the knock sensor mixed up with the iavc. Check to see if the plug you got on the iacv is a 2plug wire.

That may actually be it. I'll check that tonight.

Nope, my knock sensor is a single wire. Damn, the search continues.
I know it has to be something stupid, it always is. Any more ideas?
