Default need help with mod.

ok. here are the things that i am planning to do. the car somewhat beat up on the front and rear bumpers. so i need to change both of them. i am also planning to put suspension, turbo, catback, cf hood, lips, and rims. i don't have enough money to afford those 2k paint job, so i might go to macco or something. the only problem is that they will overspray the car!! so how should i start off?? i am thinking get the car painted, then suspension, exhaust, rims, hood, lip..then boost...anything thoughts?? i don't want them to overspray my cf hood or rims or etc. thanks.

well if you dont want to risk overspray and a shitty paint job, just save up and get it painted somewhere more reputable..you will be happier at the end result doing it that way..maaco can be cheap but paint + the word cheap = shitty paint job

Keep all of your stock parts like your rims and hood.

When you go to get it sprayed throw on your steelies and your stock hood. Tell them not to paint your hood. You'll get overspray on it, but who cares?

Or I'm sure you could tape off your car yourself w/ trashbags or something like that (That's what I did when I primed it. Still not painted)

Or you could give the guy that is going to spray it a few dollars under the table. I heard a member say he did that and told the guy to be careful with the overspray and the guy did a great job.

You can. Or you can get the aftermarket stuff and just take off the aftermarket stuff when you go to get it painted.

Never take a car with any CF products to Maaco, they will overspray all over it.

How about never take anything to Maaco. My dad has been painting cars for over 20 years and he is painting mine 'cuz I trust him. He has nothing good to say about Maaco. I mean, $300 or so for a complete paintjob? Ummm, not for a good one.

Spend on the performance, save for the paint.

I need to get mine painted, bad. The car is only worth 1500 (well, over a year ago it was) and I want to get a new car in a couple of years. I don't want to pay between 1500 and 3000 for a paintjob.

I want something descent, but not expensive and not shoddy.Mabe I'll go find a MAACO and see how much they want to paint my rice-mobile if I prime it.
