storing an engine?
you guys know what the proper way to store an engine during the winter? i have no garage but a small shed in the back. the winters are crazy in new york gets to like -5 sometimes. so any advice on location and stuff like that for storing an engine.
they sell this stuff in marine shops since boats sit outside in the winter, its called fogging oil, take spark plug out and spray inside prevents rings from sticking or rusting also prevents moisture build up, they also sell these things that screw into the sparkplug holes that kinda time release the stuff that works too, fill up the gas tank to top or completely drain so moisture doesnt condense inside

Engine's don't have gas tanks. But if you were storing a car then this would be a good idea. And to add to that, in the spring when said car is removed from storage it is a good idea to put a small amount of alcohol in the tank to dry any moisture that has possibly entered.
