autometer water temp question?

Ok, when i turn to car half way on, the gauge reads 150 not alittle above zero like it should i was wondering what the problem was or if anyone had this problem too

just when u turn over the switch and the car is not running its reading 150 temp

Bad power input, or bad ground for the sensor. Check those. Could also be a bad sensor itself.
