Default 400whp guys... what tires do you guys drive on the street with?

I'm right around the 400hp mark and I'm finding it nearly impossible to get traction when I start making power. Any suggestions? I have some 15" wheels, and im looking at teh falken 225/50/15's but they wont be out until "4th quarter of 2005" so im fuxed until then. Currently im runnin azenis on 14" wheels. 195/60/14's

do you guys have any recommendations as far as tires? i could run bfg drag radials, but im not sure how long those would last...and do they corner for ****?

225/50/15 BFG's
235/60/15 MT ET Street Radials
M&H 25/8.7/13 slicks

The latter two don't corner so well 20mm of extra azenis don't really do dick for traction, drag radials or slicks are pretty much your only choice. I find the BFG's handle OK, but they arn't going to take turns like a victoracer.

i run the 225/50/15 BFG, and they have lasted a long time, i thought they would be dead in like a month or so, but i have been driving on them for over 6 months now. and still i have some traction issues

i can vouch for the MT street radials, they hook better than bfgs

i use 225/50/15 BFG drag radials between street driving and racing on these tires i got 4300 miles from my last set. i cant fit the 235/60/15 tires from the other guys under my fenders or i would give them a shot.

until i burn through them, i'll be using pirelli p-zero's im on a 17" rim however and my goal is 500-550whp.

i know you may all find this to be gay, but i plan on stepping up to an 18" wheel once all is said and done, not sure on tires tho

and as far as the lowered thing... my car sits about 2.5" off of the ground, i cant even get the skinny part of my nextel phone under it and i have no rubbing issues or anything

IRL/Champ car rain tires worked really well if you can get them.

the 235/60/15's are a 26" tire. I can barely fit my 25" slicks. what gives. I think the 225/50/15bfg drag radials will do the best.

A pinch over 400 WHP on 215/35/18 Kumho ecsta MX's and I would burn clear through 4th gear. Bigger wheels does nothing positive for your traction.

i'm making 380whp in a 5th gen prelude and have 17in rims wrapped in yokohamma as100 215/45/17 and i get a pretty good amount of traction when the tires are warm even full throttle in 2nd gear.
