HELP!! Car doing freaky shit!!!
The only way I can describe it is that it's doing freakey ****..... the car is fine in the first 2 gears most of the time BUT when it gets to the last 2 (havent tried 5th) it does this only after the car is off for a bit..... I will get into 3rd and it will all of a sudden pull ahead and then slack off.. if I floor it the revs stay low and it just makes a realy wierd noise... like it's trying to get more power but can't.... I don't know anyone who even heard this problem before.. and have no idea what to do? does anyone know what this maybe I thought it could be the clutch but the guy at the grage said if it was the clutch it would be doing it all the time.
Thanks!!!
Thanks!!!

I am having the same problem on my 93 accord 5spd with an H22 in it. I have tried the distributor and igntion coil, spark plugs, oxygen sensor, map sensor, and throttle position sensor. So far, the only success I have had in getting it to stop doing that, is disconnect the TPS. I'm pretty sure that isn't the problem, but I replaced mine with a used one, so it could be that both are bad. The next thing I am going to try, is taking off my egr valve and cleaning all of the ports to see if that helps. The only reason I think it may be that, is that the egr uses information it recieves from other sensors such as the TPS, and by disconnecting the TPS maybe the ECU is not using the EGR. Sorry if all of this is confusing... I'm not a mechanic by any means, but I hope this helps you, and I will keep you updated if I find anything else out. If you have any questions, feel free to post them or send me a PM. Good Luck!

try disconnecting the Throttle position sensor like I said. It is located on the back of the throttle body. This has fixed my car temporarily until I have time to figure out what the real problem is.
If my understanding is correct, the car is acting as though you are an amateur with the cluth... jerking back and forth when you are in the lower gears.
If your problem is the same as mine disconnecting the TPS will work, but you will just have to look at the check engine light on the dash until you can fix the real problem.
If you have any questions as to where the TPS is, just let me know, and I will try to get some pictures up.

swaped motor or stock ??????? if unplugin the tps works it either needs replaced or adjusted verry common prob it could also be a short in the dizzy
On my car, it is an h22 swapped into an accord, and I tried both replacing the dizzy, and tps but neither worked.... now the tps is plugged in, but the map sensor is not, which has also solved the problem temporarily. My understanding is that the egr gets information from both of those sensors and figures out when it needs to be in operation or not based upon the information given. Let me know if I'm wrong on that
