i need new shocks!!!!!!!
You should get a shop manual for your crx. Changing the struts is fairly easy. I have a crx shop manual hosted on my website. I cant post up links to manuals because it violates TOS here on honda-tech but if you pm me ill send ya a link.
As far as strut brands go you should save up and get something decent

I would look into something nice like Koni, Tokcio, or KYB. Also pick up a shop manual for your car as it is a very valuable tool for someone who likes to DIY.
Depending on your situation, there may be a reason for your shocks wearing out. A given shock has a specific operating range. Move out of this range and the valving effect can become inefficient as well as damaging to the shock itself. If your running aggresive lowering springs, you will take a stock shock out of its operating range. There are some choices to fix this. You can get shortened body shocks that work in the new lowered and smaller range, or you can modify the mounting to have a stock shock lowered to keep the same travel, but move it back to its efficient range. The later can be done by modifying the front forks or rear mounts to lower the mounting collar on front and lower mount in rear. Be aware of clearence issues with drive shaft, but a little can be gained for less than buying a set of shortened threaded body shocks.
Or maybe you just have a stock crx with stock springs and shocks. Well forget all that and go with the previously suggested vendors.
