Default Name that engine problem..... Winner gets to be my best friend for life!!!

I hope this link works, but here is a .mov file with sound of my car having it's idle/ partial throttle problem.

http://www.we-todd-did-racing....5NTQx
At idle, and slight throttle, it sounds like it's missing/ someone stuck a plug on the intake. If I give it anymore than five to ten percent throttle, it's fine.

Engine is 1'st gen b16a with ctr slugs/cams
rev valvetrain
Using hondata s200 untuned with stock b16a map supposedly from my local hondata guy. Listen to it, and let me know what you think. Sorry for the poor quality, but it's the only digicam I have.

I just tried to download it and my quicktime won't open it due to it being "a file quicktime doesn't understand".

My camera is an olympus and it gives the file extention of .mov. Anyone know of a way to convert olympus files to a .mpg or something I can have you guys download. I would love some feedback on this engine problem..... Damn computers.

Maybe it's just my quicktime. Let me know if it works on your computers guys and gals. Thanks.

I get the same error code as you, but it sounds to me like the valves are adjusted too tight.

I'll work on my .mov file when I get back from work. The funny thing is that I thought it was computer related. No codes with the hondata though. I'll check the valve adjustment tomorrow when I get back to my dads shop. They were adjusted by the guy who built my head. He's done a ****-ton of honda heads too. hummmmm. It didn't do this the first 10-12 times I started the motor though. That was during the wiring troubleshooting. Would it randomly start now??? It's a freshly built head, so maybe after the valves seat in a bit it would start??

That would make sense though, because that's exactly what it sounds like. Just like it's starving for air all of a sudden.
