Default anyone running a 255 walbro fuel pump in there EF? If so, i gotta ? for you.

I have a 255lph walbro in my crx. Ok now once i changed it i noticed the fuel pressure raised up to 80psi...figured that since the pump is so strong. So i put a b&m fpr on and stil wont turn down....only to 75psi. So i figured i needed to get a standalone fpr so i get a aeromotive. Now the lowest it'll go is 68psi. What kind of regulator are you guys using to turn it down to around 50psi? or is there any other tricks to do so?

sometimes its the size of the orifice in the reg that causes the high pressure, you could also check and make sure there are no kinks in your return system, as i have seen that b4. if you go to the endyn site, they have instructions on how to drill out the orifice to get your fuel pressures back to normal.

just fyi i use the stock reg, no drilling and the 255lph hp in my civic, and my fuel pressure is normal or a few lbs above. so check your whole fuel system b4 u start drilling.

ok i found the link http://www.theoldone.com/articles/regulator/

ok i'll check everything over once more and the return line. I did try drilling the hole in the regulator(with the B&m one) but the lowest it let me go is 75 psi. Should i try drilling a bigger hole in the back of it, or is that not a good idea? After that failed i was almost certain the aeromotive one will turn it down.

also, the gauge is mounted on the fuel filter if that makes a difference.

maybe you got a walbro 552

The lowest pressures i could get with the b&m fpr was (50 psi wot/44 psi idle). So I purchased an aem fpr to lower my fuel pressure. Installed the silver orifice, now my pressures are (48 psi wot/38 psi idle).

Are you adjusting fuel pressure with the vacuum hose disconnected?

i'm positive it's a 255. and those #'s are at idle. At wot they are like 5 psi more.

As others have stated, check your return line. I'm almost certain that there's a problem with your return line.
