I assume ur talking about revving to 9 on your b20...Well u should probably get arp rod bolts and u need to get dual springs and retainers.

Camshafts control how much hp u make and cam gears just let u tune the camshafts to make more hp, they dont have anything to do with the rev limit. Theres really no point in having a 9k redline without getting some cams that will make power that high.

What about the bottom end other than the rod bolts, such as balance the rotating assembly, etc. Is that irrelevant?

Honda motors are suppossed to be pretty well balanced from the factory

So a b20 or ls bottom end you think would be balanced enough for safe, durable revving to 9k w/proper valvetrain setup? If so that's pretty damn sweet.

Some profiles can make power higher into the rpm ranges than others. Skunk Stage 3 and M22 Profiles come to mind

Revving a stock B20 bottom can cause the sleeves to crack, and lessen piston life. I would suggest sleeving block as an option for high 9k revs on B20.
