Default wanted to make sure...

i looked around, but i couldnt find a definate answer.....

for the 5th generation preludes, is 91 octane reccomended?

all the vtec motors need 91 and higher.

well i heard it was bad to put in higher than the recomended. so i think but im not sure its suppose to be 91

Read your owners manual. Putting in higher octane than needed is just a waste of your money. Octane=fuels resistance to ignite, higher the octane the harder it is to ignite.You wont be getting complete combustion

Use whatever octane is 'premium' in your area.

Yes, the fifth-generation Preludes require the use of 91-octane fuel or higher in order to prevent knocking and pinging, aka detonation.
